The Enchanted Island is an outdoor play that brings you on the legendary vanishing island Hy-Brasil. The island, which hasn´t appeared in hundreds of years, is reaching out to us because its inhabitants are worried. The climate change is affecting the relationship between the ocean and the land, and threatening them as well as us.
Within this playful, immersive and site-related experience, the audience walks through spatial audio landscapes where merfolk sip seaweed tea inside eerie underwater buildings, Seagull-John cooks white birds over trash fires and dreams from 2073 explore loss and rainbows and the beauty of sadness.
Duration approximately 1 hr – route approximately 3 kilometers outdoors, please wear proper walking shoes and dress according to the weather.
Presented by Birr Theatre and Arts Center
