ISACS is delighted to bring back the bursary opportunity for one ISACS member to attend a 2 week street arts training programme in Catalunya at SPASA25.
WHAT IS SPASA?
An international two-week street arts training programme which takes place in the region of Lleida – Spain. Over the two weeks, renowned artists will present an intensive programme of activities for those interested in learning more about creating work in public space. The trainers for the 2025 editions are:
- Andrea Paz (Chile) Workshop: Urban Action. Andrea explores public space as a poetic and political territory. Her work is deeply rooted in activism, dissident identities, and embodied social movements.
- Be Flat (Belgium) Workshop: Imposing Spaces, Exposing People. This Belgian company fuses acrobatics, parkour, and physical theatre in direct relation to urban architecture, delving into the emotional and physical bonds we form with public space.
- Caterina Moroni (Italy) Workshop: The Knot – Sparking Community in Unconventional Time-Space. Caterina creates participatory, site-specific projects blending art, activism and social engagement, with a strong focus on community processes.
- La Ville en Feu (France)Workshop: Collective and Singular Singing Bodies. This collective works with voice, song and the body as powerful tools for collective expression and transformation in public space.
At SPASA they believe that street arts should be based on a theoretical and practical specialisation of performance. The SPASA team are committed to a 360º vision of the sector and they want to work on the many different disciplines that make up street arts. You will delve into the practical work and tools used by these internationally recognised companies and professionals in the sector.
