POW is a platform for contemporary circus and interdisciplinary performance based in Dundalk.
It began as a scratch night, creating space for artists to test ideas and share work in progress outside traditional structures.
This year, POW expands into a two-day festival, bringing together performances, our signature scratch night, workshops, and artists working across disciplines. The programme focuses on access to contemporary performance for both artists and audiences, particularly outside major urban centres.
The festival includes what is believed to be the first public hair hanging workshop in Ireland, alongside a range of circus and performance practices.
POW supports artists at different stages of development, offering opportunities to share work that may not yet have full production or funding. It prioritises process as well as outcome.
The festival takes place in Dundalk and marks the beginning of a longer-term vision to develop an ongoing programme of workshops, residencies, and performance opportunities in the region.
