IN STASIS gives audiences a window into a world that changes and evolves in front their eyes, where aerial rigging and audio-visual equipment illuminate and transform the space with dynamic performance.
Stage lights hang heavy within a black box and all is quiet and ready to ignite. The quiet is pierced by the sounds of laughter and chatter; roaming technology floats by on wheels and babbling speakers sway overhead in conversation. Slowly humans are welcomed into this unique performance ecosystem.
Audiences will be taken on a journey of live music performance, bodies dangling from ropes and swelling electronic soundscapes where the performers build and rebuild the stage in front of you.
IN STASIS will incorporate the perspectives of local young people through spoken word, relating to their experiences of sound, noise and music and their interactions with public spaces.
