This is an invitation for Professional Circus Artists to spend time developing ensemble practice.
This art-form development residency is led by members of Siolta (Henrik, Ali, Jacob), and using the skills of juggling and acrobatics, Pitch’d Festival poses the question “What can we make and do when we work together and cooperate?”The aim of this residency is to create a common language and understanding of how to work together as a collective rather than as individuals.
How can we share focus rather than draw it. How to listen and respond. How can we lift each other up to a consistent level that is simultaneously beautiful and artistically challenging.
We will look at tempo, timing and determining where the spaces exist to create within patterns and our bodies.
Dates : Aug 26th – 30th
Juggling : 10am – 1pm
Acrobatics : 2pm – 5.30pm
Cost : Free but participants will be selected via application process

Prerequisites
Juggling : Solid patterns of 3 and 4 objects, and basic ability with 5. Pass juggling of 6 objects between 2 people is a must.
Acrobatics : 3 different mounts into 2 high, comfortable forward dive rolls and backward rolls.
