Watch the world premiere of the experimental feature, Concrete Keys, on Monday 14th November at 19:30 at the Cork Gate Cinema as part of the 67th Cork International Film Festival, opening Parallax, the new experimental film program.
Followed by a Q&A hosted by Maximilian LeCain.
Concrete Keys creates a strange and familiar parallel universe that evokes the tragically poignant comic structures and absurd rituals of institution, in an ever-changing world.
The film was primarily shot at the former Cork Tax Office, over the last month before its doors were finally closed until demolition, 9 months later. For nearly a decade, post its role as governmental offices, the 7-floor brutalist building became a temporary home to a breadth of creatives. 4 years since demolition, it still remains a vacant site.
