We suggest that ISACS Professional members should relate to at least three of the following criteria:

  1. You identify yourself as a professional practising artist, and are recognised by your peers as such.
  2. You have proof of income from work as an artist or creative in circus, street arts or spectacle.
  3. You have received grant(s) from Arts Council, Arts Council of Northern Ireland, local authority, other arts funding body for work in circus, spectacle or street arts.
  4. You have performed in, or worked in an artistic, creative capacity, on an original work performed in a public space or in a recognised venue or as part of a recognised festival within the last three years.
  5. You have circus, spectacle or street arts work commissioned by Government, public body or arts professional body.
  6. You have produced or directed work for an established circus, street arts or spectacle company or festival within the last 3 years.
  7. You have evidence of a substantial career teaching circus, street arts or spectacle, in a youth, social, community, or adult context.
  8. You have evidence of a substantial career teaching circus, street arts or spectacle to other professional or pre-professional practitioners in a professional studio, school, or other dedicated establishment.
  9. You hold a third level qualification relevant to your artistic practice.
  10. You have evidence of a substantial career (10 years within the last 20 years) or body of work in circus, street arts or spectacle.
  11. Have up-to-date evidence of maintaining your practice through training, upskilling, or other continuing professional development.

If you feel you do not relate to three or more of these criteria, consider choosing Associate membership instead.
