    Ali & Henrik Acro Workshop

October Acro with Ali & Henrik

DUO ACROBATICS – Some experience recommended:

    Sit on feet (L-Base)
    Two high

As a follow-on from September’s workshop for those that attended (also welcome to those who didn’t) we will go deeper into different hand to hand and foot to hand techniques as well as have fun with more Toss-the-Girl(or boy if you’d like;)

We will be starting the session with some handstand drills as we both believehaving a knowledge of handstands will make the acro journey a whole lot easier!
It will be fun and challenging, and you will be working in both partnerships and within a group.

Attending with an acro partner is encouraged but not a necessity.

    **About the teachers**
Originally from an artistic gymnastic background, Ali studied at the National Centre for Circus Arts, London, where she specialised in handbalancing. She then went on to perform and create within an English Circus theatre company called Les Femmes Circus, and toured at Brighton Fringe Festival, Perth and Adealide Fringe Festivals Australia, as well as other various events. She has taught annually at the Edinburgh Aerial and Acro Convention as well as being a core teacher for Aircraft Circus London. The past two years she has picked up the love for being a flyer, and is spending her time in Ireland working with Henrik, and performing for Tumble Circus.

At an early age, Henrik started out as a gymnast in Sweden and is today a multi skilled circus performer based in Dublin. He was chosen in 2015 for NEST(New Emerging Street Talents) and later that year created a sailing circus show “Way of the Coconut” which premiered in Dublin Fringe Festival. Since 2016 he has been working regularly with Irish circus companies Fanzini productions and Tumble Circus. He is one of the organisers and the initiator for Irish Acro, Irelands first and only acrobatics convention.
