Major Investment in National Arts & Cultural Centres announced

Major Investment in National Arts & Cultural Centres announced

For the first time in 10 years, the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht have made a significant investment into Arts Infrastructure under the Capital Scheme 2016 – 2018.

The announcement was made as part of the new Creative Ireland Programme and over 56 cultural organisations nationwide will benefit. Not only that, but they have earmarked seven flagship projects around the country and included in that magic seven, is none other than our members at The Irish Aerial Creation Centre, Limerick who will receive funding of €350,000 towards establishing Ireland’s first ever permanent Circus Creation centre.

‘The Creative Ireland Programme places a focus on investing in our cultural infrastructure, because high quality infrastructure is critical for a vibrant arts and culture sector, which in turn underpins social cohesion and supports sustainable economic growth.’ said Minister Humphreys.

New chapter at ISACS

New chapter at ISACS

2016 heralded many new beginnings for ISACS, none more so than the complete revamp of our wonderful new, all mod cons, ISACS website.

Massive thanks and kudos go to the fabulous Louisa Sloan for her Trojan work in this regard. Louisa not only transferred every shred of data from our old site and helped rebuild our new one, but she worked on all our events, marketing and communications since June. We are hugely grateful and indebted to Louisa for her enthusiasm and commitment to ISACS cause. Thank you and best wishes for the future Louisa!

We now enter the next phase of ISACS development and with that welcome the energetic force that is
Charlotte Haffner. Charlotte comes with a wealth of experience in communications strategy, social media and tech savvy skills….oh and did we mention that she is an outdoor adventure freak! So keep an eye out for this Galway based girl from Lorraine….if you don’t find her, it is highly likely she will find you!!!
