SeaChange Arts and Contact Zones presents a free practical artistic and skills sharing residency for artists.  Exchange knowledge, experience and ideas around outdoor arts in urban spaces with other like-minded artists, makers and creators from across the UK and Europe.

This FREE programme of 4 sessions will be moderated by facilitator, Floriane Gaber, current co-ordinator of the French Mission Nationale pour l'art et la Culture en Espace Public.

This programme has been coordinated by Lucy Medlycott on behalf of ISACS, Seachange Arts & Contact Zones and runs alongside the Out There Festival.

ISACS and the Circostrada Network, in partnership with FiraTàrrega, is thrilled to invite you to FRESH STREET#1 - European seminar for the development of Street Arts. This flagship event will bring together professionals, artists and policy makers from all over Europe for a key focus on Street Arts.

2 open panels on the construction of Europe through Street Arts and the possibilities of what street arts are and can be in the 21st century; 4 tailor sessions on street arts, people and public space, exchanging know-how to promote the sector and gain further recognition, trends of mobility and collaboration in street arts on a European scale and training and transmission; an action open to delegates to explore all sorts of creations and learning possibilities that arise in public environments; a World Network Session with delegates from beyond Europe and a closing session to establishthe roadmap for the future of street arts.

Open Newsround sharing of projects, info, shows, events and more, followed by Complimentary Lunch

2pm: Open meeting: Focus on the Irish & International Context for Street Arts, Circus & Spectacle Art forms and the Festival sector.

Speakers  include: Ulla Hokkanen -­ Chair of ISACS & Director of Galway Community Circus, Chantal Mc Cormick -­ Fidget  Feet  Aerial  Dance, Miriam Dunne -­ Arts Council of Ireland, John Towsen -­ Director of Physical Comedy, New York and Three Sisters 2020, EU capital of Culture Bid rep.

3.00pm: Spraoi Programme - Free time

6.00pm: Mayoral Reception at Waterford City Hall With Kilkenny, Waterford & Wexford County Councils, the Three Sisters 2020, EU Capital of Culture bid team.

7-9.00pm: Spraoi Programme - NEST Stage

SUNDAY 2ND AUGUST

11.30am: Focus Meeting on European Audience Research Development specialist presentation for researchers, academics and those involved in capturing audience data to discuss the methodologies for gathering research on audiences for the street arts, circus and spectacle artforms.

Moderated by Dr Niamh Nic Ghabhann, MA in Festive Arts, Irish World Academy, University of Limerick.

Speakers  include:  Jonathan  Goodacre  -­ Audience  Agency  UK,  Verena  Cornwall  -­  Arts  Council   Ireland  & Circostrada  Audience  Work  Group,  Kendall  Feaver  -­  ISAN  UK , Annette Nugent-Arts Marketing Consultant and Kath  Gorman -­ Cork   Midsummer  Festival.     

Venue:  Garter  Lane  Arts  Centre,  Waterford

1.30pm: Spraoi Programme - Free time

9pm: Spraoi Parade -Night time Spectacle & Post Spectacle Festival Party.  This is a unique event involving over 300 participants and with an audience of over 30,000. It is a fantastic example of full community participation, engagement and ownership. Not to be missed!!!
